My name is Tina Clark and I just love walking. My day job is as an equipment finance broker at Auscorp Finance (part of the Laurentide Financial Services Group, based in North Sydney, laurentide.com.au). We help small businesses obtain financing for all types of plant and equipment, from forklifts to office fitouts, motor vehicles and bikes. I am also a board member of the Michelle Richmond Foundation (michellerichmondfoundation.org), raising money and awareness for the Kipchamgaa Children’s Home in Kenya.
Walking has become a source of inspiration for me; I do my best thinking while out walking, so I decided to start this site to inspire others to get moving, as walking has far more benefits than you can imagine.
A couple of years ago, I had a big wake-up call from my doctor; stress and other lifestyle issued had caused a blood vessel to burst near my eye. I was lucky the blood vessel burst where it did and not near my brain, and only damaged the left eye. After numerous tests, the doctors determined it was not life threatening and that glasses should fix my eye, but they insisted I had to change my lifestyle and improve my overall wellbeing immediately.
Walking has become that thing. I hate gyms (they stink and cost money, which I would rather spend on adventures), I love being outside, so what better way to do this than to walk? I live in Sydney which is a bonus as we are surrounded by a magnificent harbour and lots of walking trails. A 15km walk can be filled with lots of amazing views.
So enjoy my blog and musings as I try to walk everyday and have some crazy adventures along the way…

One of these days I’ll get to do a Walk with you. Walking is such a great all-around exercise. I’m not a gym-lover either.
Apart from exercise and clearing my head, I get a lot of great ideas when I walk for things like poems, blog posts, photos, paintings, life in general and business too.
I would also like to encourage people that read your blog to go walking on a regular basis. Start off small and build up and walk a distance that suits your health and lifestyle. It will be a life-changer for you. 🙂
